Reservations through direct channels

Responsible

When making a reservation through our website ( www.hostalbarrera.es ) or by phone or email, the person responsible for processing your data is El Rechayu SL. Likewise, the reservation data will also be processed by the same company whether you make the reservation through the website or, especially, when you make a reservation by phone directly to the hotel or physically in a hotel.

Purpose

Hostal Barrera will process the data solely to manage the reservation made through the website and ensure its correct execution, respond to any request or query you may make in reference to your reservation, room or services offered by Hostal Barrera , as well as provide you with support from our customer service in the event of an incident with the reservation (for example, an error in the data entered, dates indicated, etc.).

Hostal Barrera will process the data for the correct execution of the contracted services and to manage any questions or queries, as well as possible incidents in the execution of the reservation.

Additionally, whenever a reservation is made by telephone, the data will be processed for the same purposes described above, but additionally and when required by the needs of the contract, the email address or phone number provided during the call may be used to direct you to our electronic payment portal.

Likewise, Hostal Barrera may send you communications, including by electronic means such as email, SMS messages or direct messaging applications, with the sole purpose of sending you reservation reminders, technical notices or updates on contracted services, among others.

The above will also apply in cases where the person making the reservation is not the person who will actually stay at Hostal Barrera. In these cases, it is the responsibility of the person making the reservation to send the reservation information to the person who will stay at Hostal Barrera, without prejudice to the information that the latter may provide at the time of check- in .

Data communications

Data related to reservations will not be communicated to any third party, unless this is necessary to reserve the service provided by said third party.

Basis of legitimacy

Hostal Barrera will process the data derived from the reservation based on compliance with the contractual obligations arising from the contract and the stay, including the sending of communications related to your reservation.

Conservation period

The data processed for the management of the reservation will be kept for as long as necessary for the execution of the same and to comply with any applicable legal deadline or the corresponding limitation periods for actions. Without prejudice to the foregoing, there may be treatments that require the conservation of certain personal data for periods other than those indicated, as described in this privacy policy.

Check -in at the hotel reception

The party responsible for processing your data is the company El Rechayu SL, owner of Hostal Barrera.

Purpose

Hostal Barrera will process the data during the check -in process at reception for the correct identification of the people who will be staying there.

Data communications

We do not normally share your personal data with third parties. However, in the case of check -in and accommodation at Hostal Barrera, applicable regulations may require us to communicate them to the relevant security forces and bodies.

Basis of legitimacy

This processing is carried out both to comply with the obligations arising from the contract (to ensure the identity of the people staying at the hotel), as well as in compliance with applicable regulations, including the communication of data to the competent authorities in each case.

Conversion period As a general rule, Hostal Barrera  only processes your personal data linked to check -in during your stay. After your stay, we will retain them for the period required by the various regulations, as well as to exercise or defend our legal interests (for example, in the event of suspected fraud, the data could be processed for up to 10 years, in accordance with the Criminal Code in force in Spain).

Online pre- check -in

The party responsible for processing your data is El Rechayu SL, owner of Hostal Barrera.

Purpose

“Online pre- check -in” is a type of registration carried out over the Internet in order to speed up the process at the reception, verify your identity when accessing the facilities and directly receive the key to your room. As this type of registration is voluntary, you will be asked to accept this privacy policy and give your express consent to process your data for this purpose.

If you accept the above, through a link that you will have previously received in your email or WhatsApp, you will be able to begin the online pre- check -in process, who will directly process the personal identification data (name, surname, telephone number, bank details if applicable and email), which will be requested at the beginning.

Any other personal data required from you from that point on, including your signature, will be processed by the data processor.

Please note that, if you were the one who made the reservation, you will be offered the possibility of sending invitations to the other guests who will be staying at the Hotel, so that they can also access the online pre- check -in process, if they wish. By sending the invitations, you acknowledge that you have the authorization of the guests to be able to send them the corresponding invitation and you agree to make good use of the personal data, exempting El Rechayu SL from any claim due to the sending and/or misuse that may arise from the data of the guests.

Data communications

In addition, as previously indicated, if you give us your consent we may retain a copy of the information and documentation proving your identity for future check -in processes.

Conversion period

As a general rule, Hostal Barrera only processes your personal data related to online check -in from the moment you request it and provide us with your data, until the end of your stay. After your stay, we will retain them for the period to which the different regulations may oblige us, as well as to exercise or defend our legal interests (for example, in the event of suspected fraud, the data could be processed for up to 10 years, in accordance with the Criminal Code in force in Spain).

TRAVELER REGISTRATION.

1.1. Responsible : The data in the Traveler Registry will also be processed by El Rechayu SL, owner of the hotel in which you are staying, whether you make the reservation online or, especially, when you make a reservation by telephone directly to the hotel or physically in a hotel.

2. Purpose: Registration of Travellers: in accordance with Royal Decree 933/2021, of October 26, which establishes the documentary and information registration obligations of natural or legal persons who carry out accommodation and motor vehicle rental activities (hereinafter, the Royal Decree), our establishments are obliged to collect and record the information of guests staying at our establishments.

3. Legitimizing Legal Basis : Legal obligation in accordance with Royal Decree 933/2021, of October 26 , which establishes the documentary registration and information obligations of natural or legal persons who carry out lodging activities.

4. Data collected :

  • Traveler data (name, surname, sex, ID, nationality, date of birth, place of habitual residence and address, landline and mobile phone, email, number of travelers, relationship between travelers).
  • Transaction data (contact data, contract execution data, property data, payment data including type, payment method identification, payment method holder, card expiration date, among others).

5. Retention period : Documentary records will be retained for a minimum period of three years. Data retention period

Your personal data may be processed in accordance with the provisions of each of the treatments indicated in this privacy policy.

Without prejudice to these periods, your data may be kept anonymously for statistical or market research purposes, whenever possible, or duly blocked to comply with any legal obligation that may apply in each case. For example, for the exercise or defence of actions linked to consumer and user regulations, any relevant personal information may be processed for a period of 3 years. In cases of fraud, as mentioned above and in accordance with the Criminal Code in force in Spain, it may be processed in certain cases for a period of up to 10 years. It is possible that in the different countries in which we operate there are additional legal obligations that may oblige us to retain data for longer periods.

You have the right to obtain confirmation as to whether or not the controller is processing personal data concerning you.

In certain circumstances, you may request that we restrict the processing of your data, in which case we will only retain it for the exercise or defence of claims.
